Annual eye exams are vital to maintain your vision and overall health. We offer routine FDT Perimetry as an important part of our eye exams. The FDT Perimeter measures retinal sensitivity which indicates retinal and optic nerve health. The retina is the part of your eye that captures the image of wheat you are looking at, similar to the film in a camera. The optic nerve transmits this information to the brain.

Many eye problems can develop with you knowing. You may not notice any change in your eyesight. Diseases such as Macular Degeneration, Glaucoma, Retnial Tears and Detachments and other health problems such as Diabetes and High Blood Pressure can be diagnosed using this instrument.

The FDT Retinal Exam is fast, easy and comfortable for all ages. To have the exam, you simply look into the device and click when you see the stimulus. This test is performed by an Optometric Assistant and the results are shown on a computer so we can review it with you.
